1 Chronicles 28:10 “the Lord has chosen you to build a house as the sanctuary. Be strong and do the work.”
Though this verse is specifically David telling his son Solomon to build the Lord’s sanctuary, doesn’t it apply to us all?
We may have had a specific plan in mind for our life and God leads us elsewhere. BUT our purpose on this planet is to do His work and that last line expecially, “BE STRONG AND DO THE WORK.”
Fortunately, we do not have to be strong on our own. God provides us with strength, something confirmed later on in verse 20, “David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished.”
If you feel like you are on a strange path and you’re feeling lost and confused, evaluate if what you are doing is God’s work. If it is, take heart that it is His plan, no matter how dissimilar to your own, and be strong and do the work.
